We specialize in natural "no non-sense" techniques for the care and training of our horses. Our horses learn to maintain respectful behavior, any time they have the opportunity to interact with people, such as feeding time, being lead or tied, standing still during tacking and mounting, etc.. We believe that any time spent with a horse is a learning and teaching opportunity.
Barrington Stables offers lessons for riders of all ages and levels. We also offer relationship evaluations for horse and rider. Groundwork is also a big part of our horse and rider training. We feel that regular relationship maintenance involving respect and trust exercises is key to a closer bond between horse and rider.
We also emphasizes natural care throughout our horse management program. Substantial turnout with other horses, environment, diet, and exercise are essential for good mental and physical health. Natural hoof care is another major part of our horse care program. We believe that proper trimming, diet, exercise and environment play a big role in the soundness of the bare-footed horse.
